Part II: Advanced Battling

Viewing Range

In the selected position below, red represents short range, blue is medium range and lime green is long range. In this attack the pet selected in purple can hit the pet below in almost any attack if it was to move up or to the sides. If the pet in purple was to move back and to the left one, the long range would now show where the blue x's are. To put it simply, short range is one box away from your pet, medium is 2, and long is 3. When you use a shield, the shield will stay in your position and defend you, shields have no range.

Aiming your attack

To aim your attack view this diagram. Which ever pet is in the 3 green squares when your attack is done, they are hit.

Aiming Made Simple

Mock Attack - Straight Aiming

Below is a picture of a mock attack. To explain this attack, the pet selected in purple is in the top corner and is doing the attack while aiming down (view the aiming table to see). The range of weapons is shown in green. The weapons used (Gryphons Talon, and Fred's Ray Gun) are also shown in their respective ranges. The strength bar is set to 200, so the attack is a full on attack. The pet in red is hit with a long range weapon, but not the medium range weapon. If the pet in red was in any white square, it would have not been hit.
Things to note:
- This is only for a 2 player battle
- The pet in red, does nothing.
- Damage numbers are not shown

Mock Attack

Mock Attack - Angled Aiming

The same weapons are used this time, but now the pet in purple is aiming at an angled direction (look at the aiming table). The pet in the red square is hit with a medium ranged weapon. The long range weapon went past him this time. If the pet in red was in any white square, it would have not been hit.
Things to note:
- This is only for a 2 player battle
- The pet in red, does nothing.
- Damage numbers are not shown
